Mission Pro Wrestling

Mission Pro Wrestling IS women wrestling!

Women wrestling in Texas is booming with upcoming talents. Reality of Wrestling has many women you should be paying attention to: Hyan, Promise Braxton, Rok-C, Raychell Rose…etc! Great talent across the board in RoW, on Texas wrestling shows and rising up the ranks.  Women wrestling within Texas is taking over and it shows even within an all women promotion called Mission Pro Wrestling. This promotion has slowly grown a following the last couple years ; showcasing a all women brand. Matches, commentary, management… it’s all women wrestling!

Thunder Rosa became more vocal on women wrestling, their positions, and treatment within wrestling on and off screen. With the Speaking Out movement within wrestling, Thunder Rosa felt she had to create an safe empowering environment for women: “ Actually, it was my husband and my friend Jeremiah that were the ones that were running Mission Pro Wrestling before…After [SpeakingOut] I kind of feel like it was something needed and something different, and where, for the first time ever in the history of wrestling in America, that a promotion will be ran and owned by a female.” From commentators, referees, the wrestlers.. Thunder Rosa intended to have an all women brand that has a great environment backstage for the women. In her interview with Austin Monthly, Rosa sees Mission Pro Wrestling as a big change for women wrestling:” We’re empowering women in our industry while showing fans that we don’t just belong in wrestling; we make it better. This is truly revolutionary.” So many talents that have worked at Mission Pro says it’s an amazing brand to be involved from Danni Bee, The WOAD, and Leila Grey. Danni Bee says the all women in the locker-room has great energy and everyone supporting each other. One of Leila Grey’s first wrestling goals was to work at Mission Pro Wrestling. So many upcoming women wrestlers want to work at Mission Pro Wrestling because it’s everything you want from women wrestling. Thunder Rosa is a huge asset for women wrestling to continue. From a talent, trainer, booker… she has her own wrestling school with Jazz, her own promotion, she trained women like Alex Gracia and she has incredible matches across multiple shows. She wants to show the wrestling world that women wrestling should be valued at the highest degree. That women wrestling does matter. That the women should be main eventing the shows. That the women should have respect and should have been given opportunities. She wants the doubt when it comes to the women to stop and she intends to let her shows from Mission Pro Wrestling speak for itself.

La Rosa Negra is the current Mission Pro Wrestling champion. Shes also the first MPW champion! She’s been defending her championship against all challengers: Madi, Raychell Rose, Sky Blue and Red Velvet recently. Her last title defense was against Red Velvet; being a teacher vs student style battle. La Rosa has a lot of personality ranging from sass to intensity. Her striking, athleticism and power moves is why she is still the Mission Pro Wrestling champion. She’s a strong champion and she will continue that going into the next show. On June 12th, Keep Em Talking is their next show. On that show, La Rosa Negra will be defending her MPW Women’s Championship against Lady Frost! La Rosa made an open challenge for anyone to accept. Lady Frost (who just became the Hurricane Pro Champion ) accepted the challenge; making the match official. Another match that is happening is Savannah Evans vs Jennacide. Alex Gracia and Masha Slamovich making their returns to the brand. They are already booking and planning the matches for the next show.

Overall, Mission Pro Wrestling is the show for women wrestling. If you want women wrestling at its full capacity, this is the show for you. An all women brand that is ran by a woman. The women giving the platform to show why they are the best. They give their all every-time they wrestle while having friendly competition. It’s a show for women wrestling with all the effort.  All the other programs should catch up to Mission Pro Wrestling level when it comes to the treatment and showcase of the women because it’s only a matter of time before it takes over.  From sisterhood, representation, and being an women show… Mission Pro Wrestling deserves your attention!

My five favorite matches from Mission Pro Wrestling are:

-Ray Lyn vs KiLynn King

-Jennacide vs Holidead in a Falls Count Anywhere Match

-La Rosa Negra vs Big Swole

-Thunder Rosa + Holidead vs Jazmine Allure + Queen Aminata
